Lake City Playhouse embraces community with Saturday night benefit show

After the Modern Theater Spokane announced its closure at the end of last year, the future of the theater’s Coeur d’Alene location appeared to be up in the air. Now it’s official: The Modern Coeur d’Alene has rechristened itself Lake City Playhouse, the name that had adorned the Garden Avenue location for years before it took on the Modern moniker in 2014.

Town Hall Meeting tonight

We were so blown away by the community members that showed up tonight to support and speak with board members and staff of Lake City Playhouse. We know this has been an interesting and difficult transition for many, but the positivity and looking towards the future that were demonstrated tonight gave us so much hope for Lake City Playhouse and the community that we serve. We are so thankful for all of you!
